Oncology Massage Diploma Course

This is a one day professional diploma course accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

Entry requirements:

This course is for the professional therapist to add to their existing knowledge and qualifications.
You will be required to have a level 3 certificate in Anatomy and Physiology and a minimum level 3 in massage qualification (Swedish, Holistic,Body or sports). We accept one certificate which combines both or individual certificates if you have gained these qualifications separately.

Previous qualifications accepted are, ITEC, NVQ, VTCT, BTEC, CIDESCO and CIBTAC, the Yve level 3 Diploma or a similar qualification, which is at a minimum of 100 training hours, classroom based.

Please note: We do not except massage qualifications that have been taken online.

Description

Open to existing therapists only.

This course is combined of blended learning in the classroom and online.

The practical element is taught in the classroom over one day. The online theory will be given to you in our student portal and will contain extensive information on the lymphatic system, understanding cancer, benefits of treatment, contraindications to treatment, consultation guidelines, oncology massage movements, lymphedema and oncology massage.

You will be required to provide 3 case studies and complete a short multiple choice test at the end of the course. Once all elements are completed and passed you will be awarded with a accredited and insurable diploma qualification, allowing you to treat clients safely with cancer.
