This is a one day professional diploma course accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

Entry requirements:

This course is for the professional therapist to add to their existing knowledge and qualifications.
You will be required to have a level 3 certificate in Anatomy and Physiology and level 3 in full body Massage qualification (Swedish, Holistic or Body). We accept one certificate which combines both or individual certificates if you have gained these qualifications separately.

Previous qualifications accepted are, ITEC, NVQ, VTCT, BTEC, CIDESCO and CIBTAC, the Yve level 3 Diploma or a similar qualification.

Please note: We do not accept courses that have been taken online.

Students are required to have a good understanding of anatomy and physiology.

What is Myofascial Release cupping?

Myofascial cupping is a therapy that utilises suction pumps to lift the underlying skin to create a vacuum

The suction created by the cups helps to release restrictions in the fascia, reduce pain and increase flexibility, by working directly on the muscles and surrounding fascia.

Plastic cups are used with a hand operated vacuum pump to induce a vacuum inside a cylinder sealed to the skin. The vacuum “draws” the soft tissue perpendicular to the skin thus providing a tensile force to the soft tissue system, which can be left in one site for a prolonged period or moved along the tissue.
